Approximately 4-5 hours walking, 2 hours driving

Elevation: 2000m

Departure early from Marrakech, we board onto the air conditioned coach bus, for a pleasant drive south. Directly ahead of us looms Jbel Toubkal, at 4167m it is the highest peak in North Africa. Aglzim and Aksoual Toubkal’s smaller rivals are visible from here also. Here we leave the comfort of the vehicle and rondevu with our Berber muleteer crew. We set off upward, in a north-westerly direction for a 2 hour acclimatisation hike. Our path will take us up switchback mule tracks, passing by cornfields, forests of pine and junipers, to the Tiz N’Tachete. Here we will break to look down on the Imlil and Ait Oussaden valleys before carrying on for another half hour to Imi N’Ifri and our picnic style lunch. “Sehr empfehlenswerter Guide”
