Toubkal ascent 2 days
A few days ago we hiked to the summit of Mt. Toubkal in two days. The surroundings are simply beautiful and we had an amazing time!

Since we are relatively inexperienced, our guide Mohamed was very helpful and patient. Mohamed and his team prepared wonderful meals and provided us with a good tent to spend the night.
For people who are inexperienced in multi-day hiking (just like us), we would recommend the Toubkal ascent in 3 days. We think this will make the hike more pleasant and balanced.

Overall, we would highly recommend Mohamed and his team as your guide in the Atlas mountains.

Hiking Mount Toubkal
Wonderful trip. Long time solo hiker, often frustrated by advertisements promising me the world, I was very happy with the services offered by Mohamed and his local team.
At short notice he organised for me to go on the 2-day accelerated trek of Mount Toubkal. For only a 25% solo premium, I was collected in Marrakesh by taxi and driven to Imli. From there my guide, Hassan, took me up to the lodge at 3,200m where we spent the night before summiting in time to see the sunrise. I hike a lot and though the path was across rough terrain, the views at the top were stunning! Then down in a half a day to Mohamed’s car-less village perched at 2,000m where I spent a quiet evening resting my limbs before going back to Marrakesh the next morning.
Hassan was very mindful of my pace without hanging all over me, waiting for me when my lungs struggled with the climb at a watchful distance. Lunches and dinner were hearty and there were plenty of others hikers to chat to along the route. On my return I stayed in a self contained flat above Mohamed’s uncle and family who cooked me a wonderful dinner and brought me to the local hamman.
Always friendly, always chatty, always mindful of making my trip seem unique. Mohammed delivered on all my requests and all his promises at what I thought was a reasonable price. He then advised on the rest of my trip without expecting any referral fee for himself. Wouldn’t hesitate on recommending mountains adventure to any of my friends.
Many thanks to Mohammed, Hassan and the rest of the locals who made my trip so memorable and enjoyable.
